Just because we celebrate the birth of this great nation – a nation that let’s us play kickball – doesn’t mean that we don’t play this coming Saturday... and for those who do not want the week off next week (the 12th), sign up to go down to Brooklyn.
Our lovely Zombie girl Juh-ree is putting together a PKL 2008 Yearbook, and even hand-binding some of the books. Click here for some info and to get your photo taken!
We have a list of people who signed up over the weekend... so it is confirmed, we have enough people to go and field at least one team. Anyone else who wants to sign up, send an email. Here is the list of people who have signed up so far.
The Roving Reporter Report is already in from our fabulous announcers this weekend. More to come later in the week.
By lightning, or course, we mean some great kickball. And new announcers! Who thought that the new duo could hold their own – we did! Welcome to the Eagle’s Nest, guys.
Some great games were played, and thanks to the ever-increasing amount of fans at the field, we had a great spectacle for all to enjoy. Again, thanks to Heather and Matt for keeping the fans and players hydrated.
All teams should have been given their allotted 15 bottles per. We have some extra for those that did not get them, but please please please, don’t lose them. Use them as much as possible so we can save money on cups and keep the field nice and tidy.
Most teams got their shirts as well... a few stragglers got us their sizes this week at the Eagle’s Nest, so next time you play, you will get your shirts. If you are going down to Brooklyn and you need a shirt, get in touch with us. We’d like everyone to have one down there.
We must say that we are disappointed with the amount of stuff that gets left at the field after the games are done. Not the trash, everyone seems to be pretty good about that, but the Team Paraphernalia. We found cleats, clothing, flags, coolers, and worst of all – league water bottles and league t-shirts. It makes us doubly sad – and a little angry – when we go through the trouble to give you all free stuff, and then you just leave it behind at the field. Sorry guys, whoever left their shirts have forfeited them until all teams get the sizes they want. If there is nothing left but XL, then we guess that’s the price you pay.
